Sometimes referred to as the landing page, your homepage is essentially the page your audience will land on when they first visit your website. That is, if they haven’t followed a link to a specific page on your site. It’s the page right at the top of the structure, or hierarchy, of your content and the beginning of the journey through your site.
The challenge of the web designer is to make your website readable and usable on any screen size whilst staying in line with the original design and without adding too much overhead, so it loads just as fast.
If visitors are bored with your website, they won’t stay long and they won’t return – two important factors in getting conversions and making more sales.
